Since 1992, MOA has earned the respect and confidence of countless law firms along
the capitol corridor. MOA is known for its reliability, technology, comfortable
offices and personal touches. Whether it is providing daily lunches for our in-house
deposition/meeting attendees or secure wireless broadband Internet access, or
providing the highest-quality, most competitively priced, in-house document
depository and e-repository; you will see the MOA difference.
MOA is a deposition and court reporting firm with a broad foundation in professionalism,
product quality and customer service.
MOA is the convergence of technology, hard work and attention to detail. Like a fine
wine, we have gotten better with age. Our processes are streamlined, conference rooms
are spacious and outfitted with convenient power/ethernet connections.
It is the collaboration with our customer base that gives MOA the ability to respond
to the industry. We are GOOD at what we do!
Our clients know they can come to us with suggestions, problems or praise. We make
you look good in front of your clients.
MOA is a deposition firm that serves the California legal community in multiple
counties, primarily Sacramento, Sutter, Yuba, Butte, but also many adjoining counties.
MOA is privileged to work with some of the finest reporters California has to offer.
A business cannot succeed without a standard of excellence. And excellence is what
you find when working with MOA, its certified shorthand reporters and staff.
We believe you will see that MOA's services are so far ahead of other firms that
you will consider us for your most important cases. Many firms' "conveniences" end
after the deposition is over. That's when MOA is just getting started. We get your
transcripts and exhibits uploaded to our web-based repository where you can download
and review them instantly. You can also see your case schedule, invoices and even
schedule new depositions all from our website.
Many of the best firms in the state have discovered that paper documents are costing
them an unnecessary fortune, both financially and in terms of time spent storing,
retrieving and then re-filing documents. Digital documents are superior to paper
documents, in part because they can be accessed, stored and secured more efficiently.
The financial benefits are simply the most tangible. Whether behind your desk, or
away from your office, having all of your resources available to you will help you
make more informed decisions and become more effective in your profession. Whether
your firm is already paperless, or simply moving in that direction, MOA is ready to
meet your needs.
All of our reporters have been writing real-time on a daily basis and for their own
benefit for more than a decade. Simply bring your notebook computer to the deposition,
and via your real-time software, whether it be LiveNote, Summation Caseview or Binder,
avail yourself of the ultimate in Litigation Support. Mark important text and
organize it as the deposition proceeds. And at the end of the day... or even during
the day... review today's testimony in the rough before tomorrow's deposition. If
you don't have the Real-Time Software, MOA can hook you up with the right resources.
We find that attorneys are constantly impressed with our facilities, environment,
and dedication to our clients. We are the best reporters in town. Our commitment to
our clients has always been our trademark.
Once you have gone MOA, you won't go back!
Lisa Ollar, the owner of MOA, started her reporting career in 1977 working for Hollan
Jones, Inc. in Marysville, California, working mostly in criminal court in both
Yuba and Sutter Counties.
In 1984 she began her career as a deposition reporter working for the deposition
firm of Malquist & Moncrief, Inc., which had offices in Yuba City and Sacramento.
In 1992, Donald Malquist sold his interests to Lisa which marked the beginning of
Malquist, Ollar & Associates, today known as MOA.
During the period 1992 to 1997 Lisa ran her new Yuba City business, working closely
with Jack Moncrief of Sacramento, and in 1997 Jack Moncrief sold his interests to
Lisa as well.
In 1995, MOA was awarded the court contract for Sutter County Courts and has served
Sutter County Superior Court to this day.
In 2005, Carol Switzer, the owner of Switzer & Associates in Chico, California,
sold her interests to Lisa.
MOA currently serves the north state from three locations.
MOA isn’t everywhere and doesn’t pretend to be, but where we have offices you can
be assured that you will receive quality, personal service, you’ll work with friendly,
competent staff, and professional and highly-qualified reporters.
The success that MOA has enjoyed through the years is as a result of hard work and
perseverance, while exercising foresight and diligence.
